FOSDEM 2016 will host an Ada Developers Room. Make sure to arrange to come to Brussels in the last week of January 2016, if you want to meet up with other members of the European Open Source Ada community.
Traditionally the Ada DevRoom provides both introductory talks about Ada, highly technical presentations, and a chance to experience the Beaujolais effect.
The programme for the Ada DevRoom will be published on on the FOSDEM website once it is ready.
This year the Ada-Belgium organization rolls three events into their Spring 2011 Event:
- The general assembly
- A GPG key signing party
- A workshop on how to package Ada software for Debian
Sounds fun! And luckily the event is not just for Ada Belgium members:
Everyone interested (members and non-members alike) is welcome at any or all parts of this event.
Nice! Perhaps one day Ada-DK could go to one of these events as a group? Could be fun.
To wet your appetite, here’s the event program:
- 12:00 welcome and getting started (please be there!)
- 12:15 informal lunch
- 14:30 Ada-Belgium General Assembly
- 15:15 key signing party
- 15:30 workshop on creating Debian packages of Ada software
- 19:00 end
The event will take place on Sunday, May 22, 2011 in Brussels. I’m not going to be able to participate myself, but I wish the Ada-Belgium guys all the best. I’m sure it’s going to be a rocking event!
Maybe we should do something similar? There’s something to ponder.
