I’m still a bit undecided on the usefulness of bettercodes.org compared to the host of other similar websites, but they do seem to offer a boatload of features and functionality all in one package.
bettercodes.org aims to engage software developers to share their ideas and empower them to turn those ideas into code that works. It does so by connecting like-minded developers and enables them to collaborate on anything related to coding. We believe in the power of open source and the developer community. As an independent open source project we are not bound to any company, any kind of technology or any license model.
There’s currently 15 members in the Ada group, which is not so bad, all things considered.
The entire project is open source, so it’s possible to actually get to the code and see how they’ve done it all.
I know we’re not exactly lacking venues for sharing code, meeting and socializing, but I do believe bettercodes.org tries to take the concept to a new level.
Check it out when you’ve got a few spare minutes, and be sure to join the Ada group while you’re there.
